Catholic Charities of Steuben County- The Ecumenical Community Forum of the Southern Tier, in cooperation with the Justice and Peace program of Catholic Charities Steuben, is currently organizing its 2009 Fall Forum, Health Care Reform-Figuring It All Out.
The event is free of cost and will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 122 Liberty Street, Bath, New York, from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served.
Our keynote speaker will be Rebecca Elgie, from the Tompkins County Health Care Task Force. Congressman Eric Massa will attend and will reflect on the current state of Health Care Reform. Also speaking will be Jim Watson, CEO, Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital as well as Mike Slovak, Director, Health Ministry of the Southern Tier. A question and answer time will close the morning.
Since its inception in 2001, the Ecumenical Community Forum has been committed to serving the common good by presenting public policy issues which affect the health, safety, and livelihoods of individuals and families, while advocating for justice and peace.
